Who is yoga for?

Yoga is for you if you want a challenging, demanding workout. Yoga is for you if you want a gentle, restful moment of tranquility. Yoga is for you if you want to stretch and open your body, improve in sport, get fit, recover from depression, ease anxiety or get relief from aches and pains.
Yoga is for you if you’re young, it’s for you if you’re pregnant, it’s for you if you’re ageing. It’s for you if you have injuries, it’s for you if you’re an athlete, it’s for you if you’ve never stepped foot in an exercise class before. It’s for you if you’re bigger, it’s for you if you’re skinny. It’s for you if you’re busy and it’s for you if you’re bored.
I’m not saying that every yoga class or teacher out there is suitable for every student. But I am saying that with perseverance, you can find the yoga that is right for you. The essential beauty of yoga is its endless adaptability- if you can breathe, you can do yoga.
